Case Discussion

MRI features of a large right ovarian mass in a pregnant patient

The patient went to have right ovariectomy and the histopathological exam confirmed the diagnosis of a low-grade serous carcinoma (LGSC).

Low-grade serous carcinoma (LGSC) is an uncommon tumour of the ovary and represents around 5% of the serous carcinomas, thought to mostly represent malignant degeneration of serous cystadenoma.
