Bilateral lower limb radiculopathy. MRI contra-indicated due to MRI-unsafe implant.

CT-guided lumbar puncture at L5-S1 and instillation of radiopaque contrast into the thecal sac.
Severe spinal canal stenosis (predominantly from disc) at L3-4 with very dense contrast distal and less dense contrast more proximal. Serpentine filling defects proximal to the canal stenosis likely represent redundant cauda equina and/or venous congestion.
Mild spinal canal stenosis at L4-5.
Chronic L1 compression fracture.
Case Discussion
CT myelography is a good alternative when patient's have symptoms that might require intervention and MRI is contraindicated.
