Transitional vertebral anatomy with six lumbar-type vertebrae (lumbarization of S1). No traumatic injury. Bilateral S1 pars interarticularis defects are also present. 

Case Discussion

This is an example of lumbarization of S1, which is the rarer of the two types of lumbosacral transitional vertebral anatomy

This case is definitive because whole spine imaging (not shown) was performed.
