Lunate dislocation and undisplaced radial styloid fracture.

Case Discussion

This patient presented with wrist pain following a fall from a BMX bike.

He was referred to fracture clinic for an undisplaced radial styloid fracture.

Radiological report picked up the lunate dislocation.

The patient was seen 5 months later when he re-attended the emergency department. It is unknown if he missed his clinic referral or whether the dislocation was missed at clinic. The lunate was still dislocated and he was suffering from disuse osteoporosis.

He then underwent a stabilization.
