Presentation

Young adult female presents with progressive breathlessness.

Patient Data

Age: 35
Gender: Female
CT

The scout view shows hyperinflated lungs with coarse thickened reticular markings.

On lung windoes there are numerous thin-walled cysts involving the entire lung bilaterally.

Prominent abdominal lymphadenopathy in the left iliac region with some necrosis. 

Case Discussion

Typical pulmonary findings of lymphangioleiomyomatosis in a young female patient.

Intra-abdominal (left iliac) lymphadenopathy with necrosis is a recognised but uncommon manifestation of the disease.
