Lymphocoele post groin lymph node dissection for melanoma

Left iliac fossa pain ? diverticultis. PH of groin LN dissection for melanoma 7 weeks ago.

Patient Data

Age: 80
Gender: Male

Large fluid collection intimately related to the left psoas muscle/iliac vessels extending down to the left groin where there are surgical clips.   Note marked bladder displacement.  Key to this case is the clinical history of lymph node dissection (not mentioned on the original radiology referral).  Differential diagnosis includes a seroma, abscess or chronic haematoma.
