Massive widening of the superior mediastinum. A well defined density in the right lower zone with a moderate right pleural effusion. Evidence of previous aortic valve surgery.

Images were taken 6 days later after the commencement of chemotherapy demonstrating a reduction in the size of the mediastinum compared to previous chest radiograph. Right pleural effusion and streak artifact from the aortic valve replacement.
