Presentation

Known B-cell lymphoma with shortness of breath.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Large left pleural effusion and anterior mediastinal mass.

CT confirms large anterior mediastinal mass and large left pleural effusion. Multiple left pleural deposits are present.

Case Discussion

Lymphoma is one of the neoplasms known to involve the pleura causing a "lumpy-bumpy" pleural appearance. Other etiologies of a lumpy-bumpy pleura include mesothelioma, drop metastases from lymphoma, and, most commonly, carcinoma metastases.
