Main pancreatic duct dilatation: unknown aetiology

On-and-off pain in the epigastric region

Patient Data

Age: 32
Gender: Female
Modality: Ultrasound

Ultrasound showed dilated main pancreatic duct with dilated CBD causing mild dilation of the intrahepatic biliary radicals.

Case Discussion

A diagnosis of possible sphincter of Oddi dysfunction was made and the patient was referred to a gastroenterologist for further work up.
