Case Discussion

A Malgaigne fracture comprises of disruption of superior and inferior pubic rami and the ipsilateral sacroiliac joint, or as variants - the ipsiolateral sacral wing (as in this case) or ileum.  This results in an essentially disconnected hemipelvis, and is regarded as an unstable injury.
