Presentation

History of diverticulosis. Now vomiting and passing blood PR.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Large (locally advanced) obstructing neoplasm of the descending colon (arrow).  Note marked distension of the proximal colon (filled with fluid) and the incompetent ileo-cecal valve with "backflow" and distension of the distal small bowel (looking like an SBO on the scout anterior radiograph).
