Fifth finger flexion deformity.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is an avulsion fracture of the proximal dorsal aspect of the distal phalanx of the fifth (little) finger involving the insertion of the distal slip of the extensor digitorum tendon.

Mallet finger is the avulsion of the distal slip of extensor digitorum tendon at the base of the distal phalanx.
