Case Discussion

Resurfacing arthroplasty preserves proximal humeral metaphyseal bone stock as no head osteotomy is performed, leading to minimal bone resection. This is beneficial for the younger patient, who may require a revision with a stemmed prosthesis in the future. The eccentric glenosphere introduced represents a further attempt to resolve the problem of the glenoid notching.
