Delayed presentation following football tackle with jaw deviation / malocclusion and left lower lip sensory changes

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
x-ray

Minimally displaced fracture through the left side of the mandibular body, involving the mandibular canal.

Displaced fracture through the right-sided subcondylar region, with associated shortening and lateral deviation to the right.

Case Discussion

The patient was reviewed by the on-call maxillofacial service and booked for operative fixation of the bilateral mandibular fractures given the significant associated malocclusion.
