Presentation

Hard painless left post-auricular swelling for two years.

A well-defined exophytic sclerotic lesion is seen arising from the left mastoid process. No associated bony destruction or soft tissue component. No extension to the external auditory canal or middle ear cavity.

Case Discussion

Osteoma is a benign bone tumor commonly affecting the skull, the most common manifestation being paranasal sinus osteoma.

Osteoma has three pathological patterns: ivory, mature, and mixed.

Osteoma of mastoid bone is rare condition. Relation to external auditory canal and middle ear are very important to be mentioned in radiology report.
