There is a large partially septated mass of complex signal arising from the left ovary measuring 12 x 11 x 10 cm. It shows a fat-fluid level with a floating nodule (Rokitansky nodule). The fatty component, as well as the floating nodule, are attenuated on T1 fat-saturated sequence.
Normal appearance of the uterus and right ovary.
Case Discussion
MRI features of a left ovarian mass of complex signal with a fat-fluid level and a floating Rokitansky nodule most consistent with a mature cystic teratoma.
