Incidental finding on a paranasal sinus CT scan.

Patient Data

Age: 60
Gender: Female

CT Paranasal sinuses

Unilocular lesion that expands on the inside of the left maxillary sinus. With regular contours and calcified walls, yet has its soft tissue attenuation and its origin is apparent in the jaw.

Case Discussion

Odontogenic keratocysts are intraosseous lesions of the maxilla and mandible that can occur at any age. They may cause cortical thinning, tooth displacement and root resorption. 

Presumptive diagnosis.
