Maxillary odontogenic keratocyst

Painless facial mass centered on the right maxilla.

Patient Data

Age: 50
Gender: Female

A solitary, lucent, unilocular lesion with smooth, corticated borders is seen In the maxilla which expand into the left maxillary sinus.


Case Discussion

The findings here are of a painless swelling centered on the right maxilla in a 48 year old female.  The lesion expands the bone, but there is no fracture or periosteal reaction.  Features are consistent with an odontogenic keratocyst.
