Presentation

Headaches.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
mri

The right maxillary sinus is not pneumatized with volume loss and medial wall protruding to the cavity, but without enophthalmos.

Chiari 1 malformation and small arachnoid cyst of the left temporal region as incidental findings.

The remainder of the brain appears normal.

Case Discussion

There is a rare condition affecting the maxillary sinus that can lead to facial asymmetry but not currently a silent sinus syndrome as it is still early stage.
