Meckel diverticulitis

There is an oblong structure in right iliac fossa with the cranial blind end. The other end originates from the distal ileum. It shows a well-defined wall. It measures about 22 x 13 x 10 mm. There are internal echoes in it. It is non-compressible.
An appendix could not be localized. An ileocecal junction is normal.
Case Discussion
A boy presented with central abdominal and vomiting for the last two days. Ultrasound revealed a blind structure originating from distal ileum. The possibility of Meckel diverticulitis was raised. A CT scan was done later showing similar findings (not uploaded). Surgery confirmed Meckel diverticulitis.
