Case Discussion

CT through the orbits of a 40 year old male demonstrates extensive swelling of the soft tissues of the face consistent trauma. The medial wall of the orbit is fractured with herniation of orbital fat into the defect. The medial rectus muscle is in contact with the posterior edge of the fracture but does not appear distorted.

Features are consistent with a medial blow out fracture.
