Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

H/o knee trauma 2 months ago. Focal tenderness present along the medial knee joint.

Thickening and T1 hypointensity are noted at the medial collateral ligament with minimal waviness. Edema and fluid are noted at the femoral attachment.

Grade II tear of the medial collateral ligament is depicted by the MR images.

Final diagnosis: MCL tear - Grade II
