History of patient accidentally slipped and twisted his ankle, on examination: there is pain and mild swelling at the right ankle over medial malleolus.

- X-ray shows fracture at the medial malleolus.
- Mild soft tissue swelling is seen.

X-ray shows non-displaced fracture at the medial malleolus more clear on opposite mortise view.

There are five types of medial malleolus fractures:
- Chip fracture. ( avulsion fracture)
- Transverse fracture (like our case)
- Vertical fracture.
- Oblique fracture.
- Comminuted fracture.
