42 / F. Knee joint pain. Swelling on inner aspect of joint - 1 mth. No trauma.

Medial meniscal cyst

Case Discussion

PA one leg standing radiograph shows a soft tissue density area at - below medial joint line. An ossified body is noted within it. Mild reduction of medial compartment of femoro-tibial joint is present.

USG shows anechoic cyst in relation to medial meniscus. Medial meniscus is significantly thick as compared to lateral meniscus.Ossified body is noted in dependent part of cyst.

Lesion is seperate from pes anserine bursa.
