Medial meniscal cyst

Knee standing PA view shows a homogeneous opacity medial to the joint. An ossified body is noted within it. Mild reduction of medial compartment of femoro-tibial joint is present.

Anechoic cyst in relation to medial meniscus, in keeping with medial meniscal cyst with an ossified loose body in the dependent part of the cyst. The lesion is separate from pes anserine bursa. Medial meniscus is significantly thick as compared to lateral meniscus.
