Degenerative horizontal tear of the medial meniscal posterior horn extending from the tibial surface near the inner free edge, through to the meniscal periphery. There is related localized synovitis and inflammation of the pes anserine bursa. Partial thickness medial tibiofemoral compartment cartilage degeneration and full thickness patella eminence and lateral patella facet cartilage loss.
