Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

Torn posterior root of the medial meniscus associated with bone bruise of the medial femoral and tibial condyles and moderate joint effusion.

Posterior root ligament tear of the knee can be visualized on coronal or axial images and can be easily missed on sagittal cuts.
