Pain in the anteromedial aspect of the knee.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Thickening of the medial patellar plica appearing shelf-like, with medial patellar facet chondral defect.

Case Discussion

In a symptomatic patient with medial knee pain, MR findings of thickening of the medial patellar plica with medial patellar facet chondral defect are diagnostic of medial patellar plica syndrome.
