There is a large bony contusion involving the anteromedial aspect of the femoral condyle with a small associated depressed anterior condylar impaction fracture. The medial meniscus is intact. The patellofemoral articulation is normal. No features of chondral shear injury. Grade 2 musculotendinous tear of the vastus medialis obliquus. The ACL and PCL are intact. The posterolateral corner and lateral meniscus are intact. Diffuse subcutaneous oedema/haemorrhage.
Complete posterior tear of the medial patellofemoral ligament. The collateral and cruciate ligaments are intact. Only limited sequences shown to demonstrate this injury.
