Gender: Male

The celiac trunk seems kinked proximally by the median arcuate ligament. This finding was confirmed on sagittal reconstructions.

Case Discussion

Celiac artery compression syndrome (also known as celiac axis syndromemedian arcuate ligament syndrome and Dunbar syndrome) is characterized by upper abdominal angina secondary to compression of the celiac trunk by the diaphragmatic crurae. ( proven with angiography - not shown here )
