Lateral film shows a moderately large soft tissue swelling in the neck.
This swelling is seen to extend into the mediastinum as evidenced by the mass effect on the trachea causing deviation of the trachea to the right.
Case Discussion
Case of benign enlargement of thyroid with extension into the mediastinum.
Ultrasound examination showed a markedly enlarged thyroid gland with increased vascularity.
