40 years old male with haematuria

Age: 40 years old
Gender: Female
Fluoroscopy

Ectatic distal collecting ducts and  also dilated contrast filled intrapapillary tubules within the renal medulla are seen on intravenous pyelogram.

Case Discussion

Intravenous pyelogram showed ectatic distal collecting ducts contain the microcalcification which is called bouquet of flowers appearance.  If you look closer there is also dilated contrast filled tubules within the renal medulla that known as paintbrush appearance . These findings are characteristic for medullary sponge kidney ( MSK ) on intravenous pyelogram.
