Presentation

Status post cesarean section 2 months ago, VP shunt insertion 20 days ago for hydrocephalus, complaining of severe headache, photophobia and neck rigidity, to rule out VP shunt obstruction.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

VP shunt in situ. Enhancing mass with perifocal edema in the left hemicerebellum, compressing the 4th ventricle.

The mass shows irregular enhancement and focal diffusion restriction.

Displaced pons and cerebral peduncles.
