Enlarged and flat appearing calyces of the left kidney. No normal imprinting of the papillae.
The left renal pelvis not dilated.
The right kidney and urinary bladder appear normal.
No hydroureter.
Case Discussion
Enlarged renal calyces without dilatation of renal pelvis, is in favor of megacalycosis rather than hydronephrosis. Megacalycosis is susceptible to infection and calculi. Unless the mentioned complications occur, there is no specific treatment required.
