Case Discussion

This patient formed a long segment distal ureteric stricture on the left side following radiation therapy for prostate cancer. The stricture was initially managed with 6 monthly JJ ureteric stent changes, however the patient repeatedly suffered complications with early stent encrustation, obstruction, and sepsis. Hence a Memokath stent was placed, which requires less frequent changes, this stent was placed 18 months ago and is still working well currently.
