Age: 74 years old

CT Brain

Left frontal extra-axial paramidline dural based space occupying lesion is seen measuring about 4.6x3.4cm showing almost homogeneous CT hyperdensity with areas of matrix  calcification and minute area of cystic breaking down. The lesion is surrounded by vasogenic edema and exerts a mass effect in the form of compression of the frontal horn of the lateral ventricle with minimal contra lateral midline shift.

No extra-axial or intra-cerebral areas of fresh blood densities.

Mildly dilated cerebral ventricles with prominent cortical sulci.

Normal posterior fossa structures.

Case Discussion

The images features are in keeping with a large left frontal convexity meningioma.
