Presentation

Incidental finding on non-enhanced CT (not shown) done for head trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female
mri

Well-circumscribed right parietal parafalcine broad-based extra-axial mass, isointense to the cortical grey matter on both T1and T2 and hyperintense on FLAIR with vivid homogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences. No calcification or hemorrhagic component seen on GE sequence. No surrounding vasogenic edema is seen. A "CSF cleft sign" around the mass is noted on coronal T2 sequence indicating its extra-axial location.

Moderate cerebral volume loss with small vessel ischemic change.

Empty sella is noted.
