Patient Data

Age: 85 years

CT

CT Brain

Hyperattenuating extra-axial mass in the right frontotemporal region with associated bone hyperostosis. Also, a small likely residual extra-axial calcification in the right high parietal region (burnt out meningioma?). After contrast, there is a homogeneous enhancement of the mass in the right temporal region.

Case Discussion

Meningiomas are the most common type of extra-axial neoplasm and can account for 14 - 20% of all intracranial neoplasms.

Presumptive diagnosis in this case given its typical imaging appearances.
