Meningioma - cavernous sinus

Presentation

Chronic headache with vertigo.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

Homogeneously enhancing extra-axial mass centered on the left cavernous sinus, encasing the internal carotid artery with superior extension surrounding the anterior clinoid process which shows a hyperosteosis. There is also medial extension to the seller region as well as posterior extension to the prepontine cistern.

Case Discussion

CT features most consistent with meningioma of the cavernous sinus encasing the internal carotid artery.
