There is a well-defined small extra-axial mass of left inferior temporal location measuring 18 x 14 x 12 mm. It elicits an isosignal to the cortical grey matter on all sequences with surrounding vasogenic edema. No significant mass effect on the adjacent temporal horn is seen. The postcontrast sequences show a vivid homogeneous enhancement with "dural tail sign" well-visualized on sagittal sequence. The extra-axial location is evidenced by the CSF high signal rim on the coronal T2 sequence.
Small vessels ischemic changes of the white matter are noted.
Case Discussion
MRI features most consistent with a temporal meningioma.
