Gender: Female

The left greater wing of spenoid is expanded and sclerotic consistent with an meningioma.

Case Discussion

Intraosseous meningiomas are a subtype of meningioma; they are rare accounting for less than 1% of all osseous tumors. They require absence of intracranial disease and as such on CT alone the distinction between a true intraosseous meningioma and an en plaque meningioma with extensive bony hyperostosis / involvement is difficult to make.
