Incidental finding, in an MRI of the knee performed for trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

Knee MRI

Modality: MRI

A flounce involves the body of the lateral meniscus. The lateral meniscus otherwise has a normal appearance. 

Case Discussion

Meniscal flounces are incidental findings, and should not be mistaken for a tear.
