Axial CT through the liver demonstrating the Mercedes-Benz sign, a radial pattern of gas fissuring within gallstones. Also seen is diffuse, mild intrahepatic biliary dilatation. The common bile duct and pancreatic duct are dilated (not shown). There are no pericholecystic inflammatory changes to suggest acute cholecystitis.
