Presentation

Epigastric pain with abnormal abdominal ultrasound

Patient Data

Age: 8 years
Gender: Male
ct

There is a large well-defined unilocular subhepatic intraperitoneal cystic mass of hypodense fluid content with thin and regular wall, apparently separated from the liver, displacing the adjacent bowel loops.

Case Discussion

CT features suggestive of a mesenteric cyst.

Hydatid cyst and enteric duplication cyst should be considered in the differential diagnosis.
