Mesenteric panniculitis

Smudging of the fat planes is seen surrounding the superior mesenteric vessels and their branches within the root of the small bowel mesentery, accompanied by several prominent mesenteric lymph- nodes, most compatible with mesenteric panniculitis.
A 14 mm stone is present at lower calyces of right kidney. In addition, a 3 mm stone is noted at middle calyx of left kidney.
Case Discussion
Mesenteric panniculitis is an uncommon idiopathic disorder characterized by chronic non specific inflammation involving the adipose tissue of the bowel mesentery.
