Mesenteric smooth muscle neoplasm

Oval right mid abdominal mass anterior to the hepatic flexure and contacting the anterior abdominal wall. Some surrounding stranding.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound-guided biopsy confirmed a benign-appearing mass of smooth muscle origin, most likely a leiomyoma or benign smooth muscle proliferation, with IHC staining positive for smooth muscle actin, calponin and desmin. The fascicular arrangement did NOT support a desmoid tumor. This was managed conservatively due to the benign pathological features.
