Partial atrophy with mild T2 hyperintensity and loss of internal architecture of right hippocampus suggests mesial temporal sclerosis.
Gliotic areas in bilateral corona radiata and basal ganglia and a small chronic infarct seen in the left thalamus, right thalamus, pons, bilateral periventricular and subcortical white matter.
Case Discussion
Especially in the setting of partial atrophy with mild hyperintensity and loss of internal architecture of right hippocampus suggests mesial temporal sclerosis, although the temporal and causal relationship between it and the infarcts is uncertain.
