Presentation

Delayed developmental milestones.

Patient Data

Age: 2 years
mri

Diffuse white matter hyperintensity in T2Wimages and FLAIR sequences, of deep white matter, periventricular region, sparing subcortical U-fibers.

Linear hypointense signals in deep white matter, giving tigroid appearance .

Also noted hyperintensity T2W signal of the corpus callosum.

Case Discussion

Diffuse deep white matter hyperintensity T2W, tigroid pattern appearance, likely white matter disease, metachromatic leukodystrophy.
