Gross pathology

Macroscopic appearance of solitary colorectal metastasis (blue ink is surgical margin).
Low power histology of metastasis and adjacent liver parenchyma (bottom right of picture), separated by a band of dense fibrous tissue.
High power of adenocarcinoma show irregular tumor glands lined by malignant columnar epithelium with intraluminal karyorrhectic debris.
