Presentation
Abdominal pain and dyspepsia.
Patient Data
Irregularity and significant mass effects are seen at the gastric fundus and body, suggesting tumoral infiltration. Mild mucosal abnormality is also observed at the distal esophagus, esophagogastric junction and gastric cardia.
In addition, mass like opacities are seen in the visualized portion of the lungs, suspected of metastasis.
Regarding barium study findings, CXR was performed for more evaluation.
Opacity is present at the lower two-thirds of the left hemithorax, and multiple varying sized metastases are scattered at both lung fields.
Case Discussion
The patient went on to have an endoscopy and biopsy, and histopathology evaluation confirmed gastric adenocarcinoma.
